SPIRITUAL END OF LIFE ( DEATH ) DOULA
SPIRITUAL END OF LIFE (DEATH) DOULA
An ordained metaphysical minister and death doula is a powerful, heart‑centered combination — someone who supports the dying and their families through the spiritual, emotional, energetic, and existential dimensions of the end‑of‑life journey. It blends the sacred role of a minister with the grounded, compassionate presence of a doula. Providing non-medical support for individuals and families during the final stages of life.
Initial Consultation
- Initial consultation to discuss needs, complete intake forms.
A Life Review and Reflection
- A metaphysical minister and death doula can guide life review conversations, we can explore soul lessons, forgiveness and release work. This work helps integrate life stories and think of legacy. It may also help prepare spiritually for end of life transition.
Legacy Creation (letters, video recordings, metaphysical ethical wills)
- Legacy Creation is the part of end‑of‑life preparation that focuses on meaning — what you want to leave behind emotionally, creatively, and relationally. Metaphysical Minister can assist you in creating letters, video recordings or ethical wills for friends and loved ones.
Personalized Spiritual Living Funerals
- A Living Funeral is one of the most profound, healing, and transformative ceremonies you can offer while aging or at end of life. It allows a person to attend their own celebration, hear their loved ones’ words, express their truth, and consciously honor the closing chapter of their life.
Spiritual Metaphysical Guidance & Spiritual Support
- Ordained Metaphysical practitioners work with universal spiritual principles rather than dogma. This allows me to support people of any belief system. Spiritual guidance at the end of life is about helping a person feel held by meaning, by connection, by something larger than fear and anxiety. It doesn’t require a specific religion. Conversations about the souls journey, consciousness and transition.
Energetic Holistic Healing
- Metaphysical practitioners often incorporate energy based modalities such as energy healing, chakra balancing, aura clearing, sound healing. These practice help ease agitation, anxiety and spiritual restlessness.
End of Life Blessings & Rituals ( active dying )
-
Creating a sacred space with candles, lights, crystals, symbols or other sacred elements. Offering blessings of release and crossing‑over rituals. Rituals and a sacred space can create a sense of peace, dignity, and sacredness around the active dying process. Helping the person feel held — by love, by meaning, by ancestors, by spirit, or by the presence of those who care for them.
Vigil ( active dying)
- A vigil is the period when someone is actively dying, and the focus shifts entirely to comfort, presence, and meaning. During the final hours or days a metaphysical ministers presence can hold space for the dying and become a grounding stabilizing force, maintaining a peaceful atmosphere, offering blessings, rituals and prayers. The metaphysical minister can also support family members emotionally, watching over the dying for signs of dying. The Metaphysical Minister can guide the dying as they transition, invocating spirit or ancestors as the soul releases from the physical body. Helping the dying transition feel intentional and supported.
Family Support (post death)
- Families need support after a death. At the time of passing we can do immediate bedside rituals, a moment of silence, blessings for the body, if requested-washing the body& dressing. Coordinating everyone to have there moments with loved one before calling funeral home.
House energy clearing (post death)
- House clearing after a death is both a practical task and a deeply symbolic one. Many cultures treat it as a ritual of transition — releasing the old energy, honoring the person who lived there.
Follow up (post death)
- Follow up with family 1-2 weeks after death. Following up with a family after a death — especially to gently recap the dying process — is one of the most meaningful things an end‑of‑life doula can offer. Families often remember the final hours in fragments, or through the fog of emotion. A thoughtful follow‑up helps them integrate the experience, ask questions, and begin to make sense of what happened.
